lemonade

Maya Angelou said: "People will forget what you did, they will forget what you said, but they'll never forget how you made them feel.

I would so love to sit on a porch and drink lemonade with Maya Angelou. I love the way she treasures relationships and values people.

If only we dedicated more care and effort to how we make people feel.

    I read this and thought to myself what author/thinker would I like to sip something with on a porch and maybe it is just the frame of mind I'm in, but I kept thinking, "you know, I would rather just pick any one of many friends that don't live near by and sit and chat with them." I know that isn't the point, but that's what this made me think. Right now, there isn't anyone famous I'd rather hang out with than my buddies from LA, Denver, etc, even if I could.
